Enfamil A.R. WIC will continue to provide exempt formulas for those infants with a qualifying medical condition. All state WIC programs are required to conduct a competitive bidding process to contract with a vendor for infant formula to obtain a rebate on certain standard infant formulas.
Does WIC provide Enfamil formula?
WIC does NOT provide other brands of standard milk– or soy-based infant formula such as Enfamil Newborn, Enfamil Infant, Similac Soy Isomil, Enfamil Gentlease, Gerber Good Start, or store brands.

How many cans of formula does WIC give a month?
In general, you should expect to purchase 1-2 cans of formula per week during your baby’s first six months – 3 per month for a one-month-old up to 10-per-month after three months.

How long does a can of formula last a newborn?
Once opened, most cans of powdered baby formula should be used within one month.
At what age does WIC stop formula?
Only mothers who choose the Fully or Mostly Breastfeeding Packages will receive WIC foods for one full year. Moms who breastfeed some or fully formula feed will receive a food package until the baby is 6 months old.
